About
Earn one hour of continuing professional education (CPE) credit through this self-paced, self-study course. (Please note that TSBEP allows its licensees to claim one hour of self study credit during each license renewal period [Rules of Practice 463.35(g)(5)]). In this course, the participant will be required to read a chapter from the book "Adolescent Public Mental Health" (Springer 2024) then complete a quiz before receiving a certificate of completion. The chapter will NOT be provided for the course, so the participant will be responsible for securing her/his own copy prior to beginning the course (please note that the publisher offers a digital copy of the complete book, but also offers individual chapters that can be purchased separately at https://link.springer.com/book/9783031682933#overview.) The purpose of the reading is to improve the participant's knowledge and understanding of how adolescent mental health has evolved within the context of public education. An historical review of education policy provides the backdrop from which treatment and literacy of mental health in schools began and through which current initiatives are developing. A specific focus of this course is on how schools can work to prevent mental health problems for adolescents by using an integrated framework of evidence-based practices. COURSE ACCESS After registering for the course, the participant will receive a confirmation email containing information about course requirements. Please note, all requirements must be completed in order to receive full credit. NO PARTIAL CREDIT will be granted. Once the requirements are completed, the participant will receive CPE credits and a CPE certificate. PAYMENT & REFUND POLICY Payment in full must be received before submitting course requirements.
